Dr Isabelle Santoro

Company Director

Dr Isabelle Santoro holds a Ph.D. in synthetic chemistry from the Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (Switzerland). She has 10 years experience in the field of scientific analysis of fine arts, technological studies, collections care and preventive conservation. After postdoctoral work at SIK (Schweizerisches Institut für Kunstwissenschaften Zurich) and C2RMF (Centre de recherches des musées de France, Paris) and five years as head of the scientific laboratory and preventive conservation at Musée d’art et d’histoire Geneva she worked as scientist and project coordinator at FAEI – Fine Arts Expert Institute Geneva before she launched Geneva Fine Art Analysis Ltd.

Dr Kilian Anheuser FIIC

Head Scientist

After studying chemistry and art history in Germany, Kilian Anheuser obtained a doctorate in science-based archaeology at Oxford University (UK). He has now got more than 20 years experience with scientific studies of a wide range of cultural objects (paintings, sculptures and applied art, archaeology) as well as preventive conservation and collections care. During his career he has occupied positions as university lecturer in the UK, head of conservation at the Musée d’art et d’histoire in Geneva, curator in charge of preventive conservation at the Musée d’ethnographie in Geneva, and head scientist at FAEI – Fine Arts Expert Institute in Geneva.

Kilian Anheuser is a Fellow of the International Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works and ISO 17024 certified by the Swiss Chamber of Technical and Scientific Forensic Experts.
